The Farm Candle is an almost bittersweet scent, with a subtle yet rich undercurrent of smoke and spice. Its creation began in Dom's beloved polytunnels, where tomatoes, melons, Japanese lettuce, and beetroot grow in abundance. We crafted the base of this scent using a real extract from tomato leaves, capturing the essence of the farm itself.
Capturing the essence of melons—a notoriously difficult scent to distill—we've layered bergamot and citrus notes to create that unique aromatic profile. To finish the fragrance and recreate the earthy but fresh atmosphere of the farm, we blended a lab-made basil extract with vetiver. The result is a fresh, citrusy, and herbaceous scent that tells the story of our farm.
The ceramic vessel tells a story all its own. Crafted by Henry Bird Pottery in Cornwall, it carries the memory of local pizza ovens. Ash from these ovens was mixed directly into the clay, creating a smokey grey colour that speaks of place and community. This ceramic pot is designed to be kept and refilled, extending its life beyond a single use.
